Stonehaven welcomes NEOS

Stunning Stonehaven and the Stonehaven Business Community welcome NEOS this September.  Over nine inspiring days, hundreds of artists and makers across the North-East of Scotland fling open their studio doors and invite you in. Half a dozen are based right here in Stonehaven. Grab your yellow NEOS book from My Beautiful Caravan or one of the NEOS venues, download the NEOS Stonehaven Trail leaflet and look for the bright yellow signs!

All year round you can discover creativity in the town, and we list below both the NEOS exhibitors and the SBA members that can be part of your adventure this September.  Remember to check opening times for your visit.

NEOS: Nikki Bruce Ceramics – ceramics - 46 Bernham Avenue, Stonehaven, AB39 2WD

I make a wide range of colourful ceramics in my studio in my garden. I take my inspiration from marine life, my love of gardening and walks in nature. I have continued to explore with different clays, textures and glazes. My work varies from large sculptural pieces, bowls, vases, plates, bothies, toadstools and jewellery.

NEOS: Pottery Haven – ceramics- 96 Forest Park, Stonehaven, AB39 2FF

Pottery Haven is a small batch pottery studio based in Stonehaven, North East Scotland. I primarily work with stoneware clay using hand building and wheel throwing techniques. Although my focus is on functional pottery for the home, I also like to make decorative pieces, all with my signature flowing glazes.

SBA Member: The Quay Gallery, 9 Rodney Street, Stonehaven, AB39 2AS

I hope you enjoy my prints and paintings on my website and invite you to visit the gallery in person.  I first started drawing architectural montages as a teenager, there are now almost thirty in the collection. They reflect my interest in history, architecture and design.  Even in my landscapes, I seem unable to shy away from lines. I paint in oil and enamel, and my work can best be described as stylised semi abstract. People tend to either love them or hate them, I hope you are one of the former.   Link to the Quay Gallery website www.thequaygallery.co.uk/

NEOS: Seabelle Studio, Isabelle Pouncey – painting - 4 Bernham Terrace Stonehaven, AB39 2WP

Splash, scratch, drip - Seabelle Studio is where I create expressive mixed media paintings inspired by the Stonehaven coastline. Inky blues meet seafoam greens to create moonlit dreams of where sky meets sea.
