Cool Gourmet

The owner of the Cool Gourmet is Isla Duncan, who took over the business back in 2009. Back then, the Cool Gourmet was a small shop in the centre of town providing freshly cooked and chilled take away meals and occasional outside catering.

When the opportunity arose , Isla made the move to bigger premises at their current location. The tearoom was opened and since then the business has grown arms, legs and then some, and lost some! The Cool Gourmet has been open at its current location for 11 years now and business is still going strong. In June 2016, we won the Best Stonehaven Business category in Scotland’s Business Awards and in April 2017, we won Eatery of the Year in both the national and regional categories at the Scottish Independent Retail Awards.

Our success is a collective team effort. Isla does all of the cooking and is supported by a small, friendly team of staff who work very hard for the business. However, we wouldn’t be as successful as we have been without the support of our loyal and amazing customers.
