Window Guessing Competition 2023
The Stonehaven Business Association window guessing competition has started! The SBA has been running a Window Guessing Competition for many years and this is always very popular with both local and visiting children in the summer holidays. The quiz is already well underway, so watch out for kids of all ages peering in shop windows throughout the town.
Local businesses place an item in their shop window – something that they do not normally sell - and the task for the participants is to visit all the shops taking part to try and identify those items. There are almost 50 shops taking part this year and the quiz takes competitors to the harbour and beach front as well as around the Market Square.
It costs £1 enter. Three winners each week get a family day ticket for the Open Air Pool and there is also a small cash prize for the 8's and unders, 9 - 12s, and over 12s categories. Any funds raised go towards the cost of the christmas lights on the lamp posts around the town.
